PEACOCK BASS FISHING

August 22nd - August 24th, 2009
Fishing in the Marmelos Indian Reservation in terms of numbers has been good. In only 3 days, a total of 461 fish were landed by 8 anglers, 9 of which were in the 10 - 16 lbs. class.
WATER LEVELS AT OUR OTHER FISHERIES:

South: (Marmelos Indian Reservation) Water levels are a bit too low and we have
almost "fished out" this area. We are moving this Fly-In Floating Cabin to the Mid-South area (the Igoapaçú Indian Reservation).
- Mid-South: (Igoapaçú Indian Reservation) Water levels are still a bit high but should be good from Sept 15 to Oct 20.

Mid-North: (above the waterfalls of the Unini Preserve and South Negro tributaries) Water levels at the headwaters of these Negro tributaries are too high which is normal this time of the year. Water levels should be good from Oct 1 to Dec 15.
- North: (North Negro tributaries) Water levels at all North Negro tributaries are too high which is normal this time of the year. Water levels should be good from Dec 15 to Mar 15.

North-East: (Roraima State) The Río Branco tributaries water levels (Preserves: Taperá, Xeurini, Omero, Shufari) are too high which is normal this time of the year. Water levels should be good from Nov 15 to Mar 15.

Fishing in the Marmelos Indian Reservation in terms of numbers has been excellent. In only 3 days, a total of 602 fish were landed by 8 anglers, 42 of which were in the 10 - 16 lbs. class.
